Kodak Vision 3 Cinema Film (50D)

Michael from the Film Photography Project was kind of enough to send me a few rolls of Kodak Vision 3 Cinema Film last year. This roll was ASA 50, daylight balanced (50D), so I tried it out in our back yard and in a local park to catch some of the fall colors last year. Getting rid of the remjet layer is an extra step in the C-41 processing, but I do like the look and feel of this film. I'd like to get another roll or two to try out in more sunlit conditions. Or better yet...how about some of this in 120?

Macro on Film

Tri-x (35mm) @1600 in Acufine. Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 lens with extension tube...probably 21mm?  I honestly don't remember now.

Last angel of the year

As Christmas is going away for the year, I thought I'd post a shot of a project I'm currently working on. We have a set of 5 angel ornaments that were originally purchased by my wife's grandparents in 1939. It was their first Christmas together as a married couple. This marks the ornaments' 75th year of hanging on somebody's tree.  These are about 2 inches tall each.  I'd like to do a set of prints to make available for the family.

Mamiya C330 Test

Last summer, I was given a rather large amount of 120 film, mostly Ilford PanF+, Fuji Acros 100, some Ilford Delta 100/400 and a few rolls of Tri-X.  Unfortunately, I had nothing to shoot it with, but that has all changed. I recently acquired a Mamiya C330 medium format TLR camera with a 80mm f/2.8 lens. It's got some battle scars, and I had to make a few minor adjustments, but it shoots nicely. Here are four shots from my first roll.  Developed in d-76 1:1.

Seemed like a god time to do a mirror selfie.

This year's tree.  You know, one that we'll put back in the box on Jan 1 and get out again next year.
